Next two years to be dedicated to curbing grey economy

The Serbian government adopted today the Decision on proclaiming 2017 and 2018 the years of the fight against the informal economy as part of the National programme to combat the gray economy.
Bearing in mind that the fight against the gray economy in the Republic of Serbia was marked as one of the strategic priorities of the government, the National programme to combat the gray economy was adopted in 2015 together with the Action Plan for the implementation of this programme.
Also, as part of the implementation of measures under the National programme, and in line with the Action Plan, the government adopted the Conclusion on takeover of activities related to preparations for organising sweepstakes in goods and services as part of the campaign "Raising awareness of citizens and companies about the importance of combating the gray economy and motivation for regulatory compliance".
The sweepstakes and implementation of the campaign will be organised by the Ministry of Finance during 2016 and 2017.
The government also passed the Conclusion on the adoption of the text of a joint declaration of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the field of modernisation of the economies.
