The Serbian government adopted at its session today the Bill amending the Law on Higher Education, concerning the extension of the period for exercising the right of students to complete their studies, conditions and study rules in accordance with the regulations that were in force until the entry into force of the Law on Higher Education.
The government also adopted the Decision extending the period of validity of the conditions for reducing customs duties on certain goods, as well as exempting certain goods from customs duties in 2016.
Bearing in mind that there is still insufficient domestic production of piglets for further fattening and that there is a need to increase the volume of pork production, this decision will extend the validity period of the valid decision until 31 December 2016, for further renewal of the existing livestock.
Reducing duties for the import of pigs for fattening originating in the EU contributes to better supply of the domestic market and increasing the competitiveness of domestic producers of pigs and meat products in the international market.
