Payment of awards to Olympic Games medal winners on Friday

The Serbian government adopted today the Decision on awards to athletes who won medals at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Under this Decision, the awards will be given to all medal winners in individual and team sports, making it a total of 62 awards, of which 54 for athletes and eight for coaches.
The award for a gold medal in a team sport is €40,000 and €45,000 for an individual sport, the award for a silver medal in a team sport is € 35,000 and €40,000 for an individual sport, and the award for a bronze medal in a team sport is €30,000 and €35.000 for an individual sport.
The awards for individual sports have been increased by €10,000 each and for team sports by €5,000 each. The payment of all awards is planned to take place until 26 August.
The government passed the Conclusion on the adoption of the text of the agreement on participation of the Republic of Serbia in the International Specialised Exposition "Expo 2017" – Astana, which will be held from June to September 2017.
The theme of the exposition is "Future Energy" and the invitation for participation has been sent by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
