In line with the same law, the Serbian government has already sent emergency aid to the Vojvodina municipalities hit by the floods. The Serbian and the provincial governments have already set aside more than 150 million dinars in aid.
The Serbian government instructed the flood-stricken municipalities to immediately start assessing the damage so that it could offer them all necessary assistance for repair works.
At today's session, the government highlighted that the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management instructed the endangered municipalities in Vojvodina to take necessary measures for protection against natural disasters on April 19, 2005, in line with the law.
The government instructed the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, the Srbijavode public water company and other competent bodies to monitor the situation in flooded areas so that they could inform the government on the measures necessary for repairing damage and other consequences of the floods.
