Bilateral military cooperation of Serbia, United States at high level

Minister of Defence Zoran Djordjevic spoke today with US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott about the current issues related to cooperation in the field of defence and about the improvement of overall bilateral relations between the two countries.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, Djordjevic and Scott agreed that there is a high level of development of bilateral military cooperation, which takes place in areas of mutual interest.
Also, the key activities from the previous period were analysed, as well as several upcoming joint exercises and training of the armed forces of the two sides.
The Minister of Defence emphasised the importance of joint exercises with the United States, but also with other foreign partners, for improving operational and functional capabilities of the Army of Serbia.
Ambassador Scott stressed the high level of professionalism of members of the Ministry of Defence and the Army of Serbia, both in the activities of international military cooperation, as well as during the participation in multinational operations, it is said in the statement.
