Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration Jadranka Joksimovic met today with US Ambassador in Serbia Kyle Scott to discuss the promotion of cooperation between the two countries and the process of European integration of Serbia.

Ambassador Scott praised the reform process implemented by the Serbian government, stressing that the United States supports Serbia on its European path and wants to see it in the EU.
The interlocutors assessed that for cooperation and future relations in the region, dialogue is crucial.
Scott pointed out that the United States sees Serbia as an important factor of stability in the Western Balkans, and expressed the hope that the dynamics of the negotiation process started with the EU will be continued.
Joksimovic underlined that Serbia has fulfilled its obligations relating to the agreed criteria for the opening of chapters 23 and 24 and it is now a matter of whether the EU will achieve a consensus on this issue.
