The greeting of the Prime Minister reads:
“First of all, I wish to send my most sincere Easter greetings to the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija, and I believe that, regardless of where we are on the Easter day, all of us will actually be in Kosovo with our hearts and souls. Today, more than ever, it is necessary that our people in Kosovo are instigated by hope, love, faith and patience so that they can persevere in realising their right to life, freedom and return to their homes. We all need to preserve and strengthen the hope, the hope that we will find a just and compromise solution for Kosovo-Metohija, the cradle of our state.
“Just before Easter, our country has made a step closer to Europe. The European family of nations gathers peoples who are independent and self-aware, as only such peoples are capable of joining together. We know who and what we are, our culture, spirituality and tradition are woven into Europe and interlaced with European values. The best examples of who and what we are is our magnificent cultural heritage, such as Gracanica Monastery, Pec Patriarchate or Bogorodica Ljeviska Church.
“It is time that we, as people, renounce misdirected desires, and gather up the forces, strengthen hope, respect true virtues and lasting values, as only in that way shall we succeed in securing the consideration and acknowledgement of our state and national interests in the international community.
“The holy celebration of Christ’s resurrection is the celebration of renewed hope, peace and love, which we greatly need today. I wish all to spend the Easter holiday in peace, spiritual happiness and good health.
“Christ is risen!”
