The national Crisis Response Team decided today to deploy more rescue teams at flood-risk areas in order to successfully avert the potential danger.
According to a statement by the Ministry of the Interior, the situation on the ground is being monitored continuously and
preventive measures are being implemented in order to facilitate and speed up the actions of all authorities in the protection of lives and safety of all citizens and goods, and in the clean-up of consequences of floods.
Bearing in mind the unfavourable weather forecast by the Hydrometeorological Institute, it has been agreed to keep all rescue teams and equipment on alert in order to be able to provide a timely response.
