Joint response of European countries to migrant crisis necessary

Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin met late yesterday with Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Lilianne Ploumen.

Ploumen praised the work of the Serbian government in tackling the migrant crisis and its attitude toward migrants and stressed that Serbia needs to pass its experience and present its work in this area as an example of good practice.
Vulin thanked for the support which the Kingdom of the Netherlands gives the Republic of Serbia and reiterated that it is most important to establish a common practice, cooperation and response of European countries in order to resolve the current situation.
Ploumen also underlined that the Netherlands, as the country which currently holds the EU Presidency, supports reforms in Serbia, which should lead as soon as possible to the opening of the key negotiation chapters 23 and 24, reads a statement by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs.
