Vucic, who marked the opening of "Prokop" by coming with his associates on a new Stadler train, said that big projects can become reality when citizens are hard-working, when there is a plan and when the leadership thinks about the future.
Today in “Prokop” the issue is not about trains, but about re-starting the whole country, its exact and precise timetable in the future, the discipline of those who govern, tidiness and decency of wagons, staff and passengers.
The “Prokop” train station should be fully completed in 2018, one year ahead of schedule, the Prime Minister said and announced that the next phase of work begins in March, when access roads will be built.
According to Vucic, this is one of the largest construction sites in Europe at this moment, which is why the major global companies consider it a prestigious job.
He recalled that the construction of "Prokop" has been funded by a loan of the Fund for Arab Economic Development from Kuwait, approved under favourable conditions.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Constriction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic said that with the opening of “Prokop”, Serbia’s capital city is returning on Europe’s railway map.
The future cannot come on this own, it depends from the work of all of us. Our job is to complete "Prokop" and every other infrastructural project because thus Serbia is going forward, she underlined.
Mihajlovic thanked Prime Minister Vucic, who helped to finish the first phase of this project and everyone who worked on its realisation.
