US Ambassador’s significant contribution to improving Serbian justice system

Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic received outgoing US Ambassador Michael Kirby, thanking him for his exceptional cooperation and great contribution to improvement of the rule of law and the judiciary in Serbia.

Selakovic said that Kirby's great contribution relates in particular to enhancing the efficiency of misdemeanour courts and the Administrative Court, as well as the work of the Judicial Academy, the statement said.
The Minister recalled a large number of joint activities, projects and actions of the Ministry of Justice, the US Embassy, USAID and JRGA project, led by Kirby.
Kirby thanked Selakovic for the excellent cooperation, noting that the Serbian judiciary has improved over the past three and a half years, the statement added.
