Nebojsa Pavkovic
General Pavkovic said that he has dedicated his entire life to the army and to his people and that he has fought honourably to defend his homeland and his people. He stressed that, as a professional soldier, he has always fulfilled his duties in full and with honour and that today he does not want to be the only obstacle to our country’s efforts towards a better future. Pavkovic said that he is going to The Hague to fulfil his soldier’s oath completely.
The Serbian government highly appreciates General Pavkovic’s decision and believes that it is in the best interest of the country and that it reflects Pavkovic’s moral and patriotic attitude towards the country and the people. At its next session, the Serbian government will decide to offer all necessary guarantees for General Pavkovic’s pre-trial release and to provide all necessary assistance to his family.
General Pavkovic, accompanied by Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar and doctors from the Military-Medical Academy, will first fly to Rotterdam for a medical examination on April 25 and then he will go to The Hague.
