Selakovic to attend ministerial forum in Sarajevo

Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic will participate in two-day ministerial forum “EU – Western Balkans in the field of judiciary and the interior”, which is being held today and tomorrow in Sarajevo.
The conference will deal with judiciary cooperation among countries in the region, migrant crisis, and cooperation of states in the fight against terrorism and organised crime.
On the second day of the conference, on the sidelines of the event, the Minister of Justice will meet with European Commissioner for Justice, Consumer Protection and Gender Equality Vera Jourova with whom he will discuss the opening of the negotiation Chapter 23 and reform of the judiciary, with special emphasis on the independence of judiciary and solving of overdue cases, according to a statement by the Ministry of Justice.
