Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica met today with a delegation of the French Senate headed by President of the French-Serbia-Montenegrin friendship society Monique Papon and agreed that Serbia-Montenegro and France have always had traditionally good relations and expressed readiness to continue the good cooperation.
Kostunica said that the government has achieved significant results, recalling that Serbia-Montenegro received a positive Feasibility Study and that negotiations on the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU will start soon.
Kostunica also said that the problem of the state union’s parliament has been solved, which clearly showed Serbia-Montenegro’s European resolve.
Kostunica pointed to the difficult position of the Serb and other non-Albanian population in Kosovo-Metohija, noting that their fundamental human rights are being endangered.
