Job classifications in provinces, local governments to follow model of republic administration

The Serbian government adopted today the Bill on employees in autonomous provinces and local self-governments that prescribes job classifications after the model of the state-civil service system at the republic level.

The Bill on land protection was also adopted, that arranges the system of planning, management and the use of land, protection from pollution and degradation, as well as monitoring of the state and quality of land.
The proposed bill will establish mechanisms of protection, while the data obtained through monitoring will be public and centralised into a unique system, which will be used as a basis in the making of spatial and urban plans and determination of ways of land use.
This bill will also define responsibilities and competencies of the local self-government in this sense, as well as obligations of the Environmental Protection Agency.
