April 20 declared Day of Mourning

The Serbian government declared April 20, 2005 the Day of Mourning for the tragic traffic accident that took place near Zabalj in the Zrenjanin municipality.
According to government regulations on the use of the national coat of arms, flag and anthem of the Republic of Serbia, on official days of mourning, the national flag is to be flown at half-mast at all state, provincial and local bodies and public services.
The Serbian Ministry of Culture also recommended that media outlets and institutions of culture adjust their programme to the Day of Mourning.
The Serbian Ministry of Education and Sport stated that all sporting events that will be held on April 20, 2005 must begin with a minute of silence in the memory of victims of this tragic event.
