Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic spoke today with Ambassador of the United States to Bosnia-Herzegovina Maureen Cormack about the current situation related to the migrant crisis, as well as about cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Stefanovic pointed out that the migrant crisis is not just a problem affecting the Balkans and that it is necessary to reach a comprehensive solution on the level of the European Union.
The Minister said that in Serbia there have been no major incidents between migrants and Serbian citizens and that Serbia, as a responsible country, will continue to behave in accordance with European values, with full respect for human rights.
He said that two countries cooperate particularly in the field of combating terrorism and cooperation.
Cormack gave full support to the efforts and cooperation of the police of the two countries in the fight against terrorism and against all other forms of crime, according to a statement by the Ministry of the Interior.
