The Serbian government has approved a new bill on consensual financial restructuring that should facilitate debt reprogramming.
The new bill should help improve the prospects for recovery of heavily indebted companies and entrepreneurs, the government said in a statement.
The government expects that the provisions of the proposed legislation will provide the local economy with an effective mechanism for debt restructuring, which is crucial for consolidating the operations of business entities and entrepreneurs during times of financial difficulties.
