Government passes Decree on measures for implementation of breeding programme

The Serbian government passed at its session today the Decree on establishing a long-term set of measures for implementation of the breeding programme in Serbia for the period from 2015 to 2019, with the aim of realisation of breeding objectives set by the Livestock Act.
The breeding programme aims to improve the genetic potential of the livestock, increase productivity and production of meat, milk, eggs, wool, honey and other bee products, and aquaculture products, in order to create a market surplus that would be sold on the domestic and foreign markets.
