The government concluded that a high and growing level of problem loans is increasingly burdening the banking sector in Serbia and is limiting the loan activity and development of the Serbian economy.
The strategy will enable the competent institutions to undertake a number of activities in order to assess the capacity of banks to resolve problem loans, create conditions for the development of the market of troubled loans, as well as to improve mechanisms for resolving corporate debt through the courts and regulatory framework for mortgage.
The government also adopted the Decree on incentives to investors in the Republic of Serbia to produce audiovisual work.
The aim of this decree is to encourage film and TV and audio industry, both domestic and foreign, for the production of feature films, TV films and TV series, animation, audio and / or visual post-production of audiovisual works and documentary films.
The incentives are awarded through a refund of up to 20 percent of eligible costs that the producer / investor made in Serbia.
The Decision on the allocation of pecuniary awards for winning sport results at world and European championships in water polo, basketball, athletics, taekwondo and rowing was also adopted.
The government passed the Conclusion on the withdrawal from the parliamentary procedure of the Bill on special conditions of sale of certain real estate owned by the Republic of Serbia.
At today’s session, the government accepted the resignation of Director of the Serbian State Lottery Aleksandar Vulovic and appointed Nenad Lazarevic new Director.
