The Commission is helping other local governments to complete the documentation and is calling on them to submit it urgently so that the remaining funds would be released as soon as possible.
The approved funding was distributed to a total of 40 cities and municipalities which applied for the award of aid to mitigate damage to agriculture, residential buildings and infrastructure caused by heavy rains, snow, city, stormy winds, floods and landslides.
The largest number of claims are relating to the damage caused in the first half of this year, when a great damage was caused to agricultural crops, primarily raspberries.
The funds for the compensation of damages in the amount of approximately RSD 200 million have been provided in the budget, and the Commission is prepared to approve the payment as soon as other local governments submit valid documentation.
