Bill on maximum number of employees in public sector adopted

The Serbian government adopted the Bill on the method of determining the maximum number of employees in the public sector, whose implementation will ensure the reform of the public sector, improve the efficiency of public administration and contribute to the financial consolidation of Serbia.

It is planned that reduction in the number of employees in the public sector in next three years will reduce expenditures on wages from the current 11.8% of GDP to 8% annually.
The government adopted the Bill on textbooks, whose implementation will improve quality and availability of textbooks to each student, provide complete transparency of the process of approval and selection of textbooks, as well as the method of determining the prices of textbooks, which will protect family budgets.
The Serbian government adopted the Bill on amendments to the Law on Public Procurement, which increases the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of public procurement procedures, as well as the intensity of competition.
