Serbia welcomes reaching of political agreement in Macedonia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Republic of Serbia welcomes the reaching of an agreement between the main political forces in the Republic of Macedonia.
This agreement, first of all, contributes to the internal stability of Macedonia and the region as a whole.
The Republic of Serbia expresses hope that the agreement will be respected by all relevant political forces to the benefit of citizens of the Republic of Macedonia.
Also, we believe it is very important that the Macedonian Parliament will again work at full capacity and thereby contribute to the implementation of the said agreement.
Finally, we welcome the successful engagement of European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, who played a key role in the conclusion of the agreement, as well as of European Parliament members who have contributed significantly to the positive outcome of the negotiations, reads the statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
