Serbia, Republika Srpska to mark Remembrance day of suffering of Serbs

The Serbian government formed at its session today the Organisation Committee to mark 5 August as the Day of Remembrance of the suffering and persecution of Serbs, which will be jointly observed by Serbia and Republika Srpska.
The Committee will be chaired by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic.
The President of Republika Srpska and the government of Republika Srpska will choose their representatives for the Committee.
At the session it was noted that all preparations for a friendly visit of German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Belgrade on 8 July are going as planned.
During the visit of the German Chancellor, the security measures in Belgrade will be raised to the highest level - the security level number one will be in effect, it was concluded at the session of the Serbian government.
