Strategy on traffic safety in Serbia adopted

The Serbian government adopted at its session today the Bill on amendments to the Law on police that specify the procedure for hiring special police units.
In addition, the amendments that will provide for the efficiency of police investigation of kidnappings and disappearance of minors were proposed, in line with the publicly known “Tijana’s Law”.
The government adopted the Bill on amendments to the Law on removing consequences of floods in Serbia and the Bill on ratification of the Agreement between the governments of Serbia and the United States of America (US) on air transport.
The government also adopted the Strategy on traffic safety on the roads in Serbia for the next five years.
The Strategy is expected to reduce the number of accidents by 50 percent.
