Continued cooperation between Serbia, US in field of justice

Minister of Justice Nikola Selakovic met today with Coordinator for Europe at the US State Department Alina Romanowski and discussed cooperation between Serbia and the United States in the area of justice and of its improvement in the future.

Selakovic said that the United States, through the US Embassy and the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and the projects and agencies in our country, provides strong support to strengthening the rule of law and improving the situation in the Serbian judiciary.
He singled out the Judicial Reform and Government Accountability Project (JRGA) as one of the most important forms of cooperation, adding that the support of the experts from the United States through the exchange of experiences and transfer of knowledge would be of great benefit to our country.
Romanowski stated that cooperation between Serbia and the United States in the field of justice gave positive results and confirmed US readiness to continue support in those areas, according to a statement by the Ministry of Justice.
