OSCE support to reforms within Interior Ministry

Minister of the Interior Nebojsa Stefanovic spoke with Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia Peter Burkhard about internal reforms carried out at the Interior Ministry as well as Serbia’s activities as OSCE chair.

Stefanovic and Burkhard described as positive the activities undertaken so far within Serbia's OSCE chairmanship, in the part that involves the Interior Ministry.
Stefanovic informed Burkhard what the Ministry is doing in relation to internal reforms, primarily the new police law, and project related to the community policing.
Burkhard expressed the OSCE's readiness to assist in the processes and activities undertaken as part of the reforms and EU integration process.
In the meeting, the officials also discussed the OSCE support in drafting a national anti-terrorism strategy.
