First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic will attend the annual meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council and a meeting of foreign ministers of the Cooperation Process in Southeastern Europe, which will be held on 22-23 May in Tirana.
The annual meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council is jointly organised by the Council and the Republic of Albania, as chair of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).
The meeting will consider and evaluate progress made in implementing the strategy and work programme of the Regional Cooperation Council for the period from 2014 to 2016, as well as the Strategy for South Eastern Europe by 2020.
Also, the annual meeting will be an opportunity to exchange views on general developments in the region and the role of the Regional Council in promoting cooperation at the regional level.
A formal meeting of foreign ministers of the SEECP marks the end of Albania's presidency, which will be taken over by Bulgaria.
The Serbian delegation will emphasise the importance to the strengthening of good neighbourly relations and overall cooperation in the region, which is one of the key priorities of our foreign policy, in function of Serbia’s strategic goal – full membership of Serbia in the EU.
