Amendments to Privatisation Law adopted

The Serbian government adopted at its session today the amendments to the Law on Privatisation, under which the existing deadline for privatization should not refer to the companies of strategic importance for the Republic of Serbia and business entities in Kosovo-Metohija.
These companies employ around 25,000 people. The goal is to successfully solve the problem of companies meeting the privatization criteria and to facilitate the privatisation process.
The amendments are aimed at determining the true state of affairs concerning assets, liabilities and capital, as well as the real market capitalization of these companies.
