The Serbian government adopted at its session today the Strategy on financial crime investigations for 2015 and 2016, which aims to achieve efficient and quality implementation of investigations and enable strategic planning and management of reforms of the system responsible for their implementation.
It is expected that the implementation of this strategy will significantly enhance the fight against systemic corruption, money laundering and terrorism financing.
It should promote international cooperation in this area and financial forensics will be introduced, as well as training of special teams for conducting effective investigations.
The strategy also provides that the competent public prosecutor forms a special team in the case of complex investigations.
The government also adopted the Decision on establishing the Council for small and medium-sized enterprises, entrepreneurship and competitiveness, headed by Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic.
The Council will coordinate the activities of ministries and other organisations to improve entrepreneurship and development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
