The award, which is awarded every second year for outstanding contribution to European integration, was previously awarded to German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
The OSCE received this award for its contribution to stability in Europe and neighbouring regions, as stated in the announcement.
OSCE Chairman-in-Office, First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, will receive the award at a ceremony in Magdeburg on 19 September, which will be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Burkhalter, said in a statement Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
