Terrorism, religious extremism endanger free, democratic world

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic began his official visit to Iraq with the meeting with President of the Parliamentary Committee on Defence and Security Hakim al-Zamili.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Defence, the two officials discussed security challenges, where terrorism and religious extremism were identified as major threats.
Gasic and al-Zamil agreed that these phenomena threaten the free and democratic world.
The Minister of Defence briefed al-Zamili about measures undertaken by the Ministry of Defence in order to improve the capacity and capability for Serbia’s OSCE chairmanship and its contribution in solving the current crisis situation.
Gasic continues his visit to Iraq, which will last until 26 February, with a meeting with Prime Minister of Iraq Haider al-Abadi and Minister of Defence Khaled al-Obeidi, which will be held tomorrow, it is added in the statement.
