World Bank’s support to further labour market reform in Serbia

Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Aleksandar Vulin met today with a delegation of the World Bank, led by Country Director for South East Europe Ellen Goldstein.

The Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs stated that Goldstein thanked for the excellent cooperation with the Ministry in defining activities on the projects "Support to the reform of enterprises in restructuring" and "Support to improving competitiveness and increasing employment".
A particular focus was put on the importance of the social component of these projects and further work on the reform of the National Employment Service and the redesign of active employment policy.
Both sides expressed their willingness to continue cooperation in order to support further reform of the labour market, the statement added.
