Government accepts Esmark’s offer for privatisation of Smederevo steelworks

The government considered at today's meeting a report of the Commission for the implementation of strategic partnership in the privatisation of Smederevo Zelezara and accepted the offer of Esmark Europe BV from Amsterdam.
The Commission will start negotiations with the selected bidder for signing the agreement on strategic partnership.
The government adopted the Bill ratifying the Loan Agreement for preferential loan for a buyer for the second phase of the project Kostolac B - Power Plant Project, between the government of Serbia, represented by the Ministry of Finance, and the Chinese Export-Import Bank, and sent it to the National Assembly for consideration.
Also, the government sent a request to the National Assembly to hold the extraordinary session.
