The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sated that the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the NATO assumed the presidency of SEEGROUP (South East Europe Security Steering Group) at a meeting that was held at the ambassadorial level at the NATO headquarters in Brussels on 16 December.

According to the statement, the SEEGROUP is an informal and flexible forum for security and political consultations on issues of importance to the region of Southeast Europe, which brings together the partner countries of the Western Balkans, NATO members, as well as Western European partners in NATO.
The results of the chairmanship of the Macedonian mission to the NATO over this forum in 2014 were present at the meeting.
Head of the Serbian Mission to the NATO Ambassador Miomir Udovicki presented in his speech the priorities of Serbia’s chairmanship of the SEEGROUP and announced that the accompanying action plan will be presented in January next year.
Ambassador Udovicki highlighted Serbia's commitment to further improvement of regional security cooperation and announced that one of the first issues on the agenda of the SEEGROUP in 2015 will be
the priorities of the chairmanship of the OSCE, which Serbia will also chair in 2015, it is added in the statement.
