After the talks with President of the state-run Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin, Mihajlovic said that this company’s dispatch centre provides information not only on the movement of trains, but on all other data, such as number of passengers and the volume of goods.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, who today visited the Dispatch Centre of Russian Railways, pointed out that Serbian Railways wants to obtain such a modern dispatch centre.
On the sidelines of the Second International Conference on Railway Tariffs in Moscow, Mihajlovic spoke with Russian Minister of Transport Maxim Sokolov, with whom she reached an agreement on
increasing the number of permits for road haulage.
She said that these permits are very important for our carriers because in Serbia, 10,000 families live on the transport of goods and passengers on the route between Russia and Serbia.
I expect that the number of bilateral transit permits will certainly be increased, and we agreed to discuss at the session of the Joint Committee on Road Traffic the options for taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the increased volume of trade in goods and services between Russia and Serbia, Mihajlovic said.
The Deputy Prime Minister underlined that cooperation between the ministries of transport of Russia and Serbia is more efficient than ever before, and that the release of the Russian loan for the revitalisation of our railroads has been significantly accelerated.
