A statement by the Ministry says that two separate working meetings were held with two Chinese companies that have passed the prequalification process - China Road and Bridge Corporation, and Shandong Hi-speed Group.
The concession will be given for building and maintaining a part of Corridor 11 from Surcin to Obrenovac in the length of 17.6 kilometres, and from Preljine to Požege in length of 30.9 kilometers, as well as for the management, maintenance and the use of lanes from Obrenovac to Preljina, in the length of 103 kilometers.
In separate meetings, the expert team comprising representatives of the Ministry of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure, and other relevant state institutions, informed the Chinese companies about the projects and the selection procedure for the concessionaires and answered their questions.
Negotiations with Chinese companies will be continued with talks on technical, legal and financial aspects of the project.
According to a framework timetable for the implementation of the procedure, the deadline for submission of final bids is 15 December 2014 and the concession agreement should be signed by the end of March 2015, it is added in the statement.
