Serbia's EU accession talks are proceeding at the planned pace, and the EU backs the austerity measures and economic reforms being carried out by the Serbian government, it was stated in a government session, which was also attended by Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Michael Davenport.
The EU backs the austerity measures and economic reforms being carried out by the Serbian government, and it is ready to assist Serbia's efforts to ensure economic growth, efficiency, competitiveness and economic consolidation, the government press office said in the statement.
It was also noted that the EU believes that Serbia needs to expedite structural changes and, in particular, carry out an efficient public administration reform.
At the session, the government also adopted a bill on ratification of agreements between Serbia and Spain on exchange and protection of classified information.
