General Lukic to be provided all necessary medical assistance

The Serbian government, in cooperation with Chairman of the National Council for Cooperation with The Hague Tribunal Rasim Ljajic has forwarded to the tribunal an expert opinion following medical consultation that General Sreten Lukic’s surgery has been carried out successfully, as well as a recommendation from a team of doctors as to the treatment the General is to receive in the following period.
The Serbian government stated that it will ensure that Sreten Lukic receive in The Hague the treatment prescribed by this consultation.
The government maintains regular contacts with these doctors and expects Lukic to get out of hospital very soon, after which it will ensure that he keeps receiving all necessary medical assistance while at the Hague tribunal.
