As part of the cooperation between the Serbian government and the Republika Srpska government in meeting obligations towards the Hague tribunal, Serbian Minister of Justice Zoran Stojkovic and Republika Srpska Minister of Interior Darko Matijasevic spoke today with police general Ljubomir Borovcanin, who has decided to go to The Hague voluntarily.

Borovcanin said that this is the best way to help his people, as he does not want the country to be under pressure and to be held hostage because of him.
Stojkovic and Matijasevic described the decision as moral and patriotic, and in the best interest of Serbia-Montenegro and Republika Srpska.
The Serbian government will offer all necessary guarantees for Borovcanin to be released pending trial and the two governments will provide all necessary assistance to his family.
Borovcanin will travel to The Hague on Friday, April 1, accompanied by Matijasevic and Serbian Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Zoran Loncar.
