Economic reforms good incentive for foreign investors

Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration Jadranka Joksimovic underlined today during the talks with Finnish Ambassador to Serbia Pekka Orpana that at this moment Serbia is finishing the negotiating position for Chapter 32 which deals with financial control.

She said that Chapter 32 is important because Serbia wants to achieve the highest degree possible of budgetary discipline and the control of spending of taxpayers money, which is especially important in the context of economic reforms that the Serbian government had promised to citizens.
The Finnish Ambassador highlighted the importance of implementing economic reforms and noted that they are a good incentive for foreign investors to invest in Serbia.
The two officials also discussed Finland's participation in the realisation of different projects of expertise assistance in the areas in which Finland has considerable experience, reads a statement by the Office of the Minister without portfolio responsible for European integration.
