The Serbian government has decided at its session tonight regarding the decision of the Trial Chamber of the ICTY, which requests from the Serbian government to provide guarantees for the provisional release of the accused Vojislav Seselj, to inform the Trial Chamber that, pursuant to Article 36 of the Law on cooperation of Serbia and Montenegro with the ICTY adopted in 1991, it had been providing guarantees for all citizens of the Republic of Serbia indicted by the ICTY who requested that guarantee.
The Serbian government is willing to provide guarantees for the provisional release of the accused Vojislav Seselj to the ICTY provided that the defendant Vojislav Seselj declares, in a legally binding form, that he will comply with all requirements specified by or agreed with the Trial Chamber of the ICTY.
