Serbia will impartially preside over OSCE

Minister of Defence Bratislav Gasic met with Head of the OSCE Mission in Serbia Ambassador Peter Burkhard to discuss the current cooperation and the upcoming Serbia’s OSCE Chairmanship in 2015.
Gasic pointed out that Serbia will strive to be impartial during its OSCE Chairmanship.

The Minister stressed that all processes initiated this year will be finished, and that a Joint Plan incorporating the military-political dimension of security has been drawn up.
Gasic spoke about the recent floods that had hit our country, and about the significant role of the Serbian Army in flood relief.
Gasic and Burkhard emphasised the significance of cooperation in the scope of sub-regional and regional initiatives and processes.
Special emphasis was given to practical help the OSCE has been providing during realization of the CASM project – Capacity Development Program for Conventional Ammunition Stockpile Management for the Republic of Serbia, and the implementation of the OSCE Code of Conduct in Political-Military Aspects of Security in the reform of the defence system.
