The Ministry of the Interior stated today that the first meeting of the Subcommittee on justice, freedom and security as part of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) between Serbia and the EU will be held in Brussels on 5-6 June.
This is the first meeting on justice, freedom and security since the accession negotiations between Serbia and the EU were opened.
Participants in the meeting will discuss the current situation in the area of justice, freedom and security in Serbia in relation to the EU acquis, particularly chapters 23 and 24.
They will also examine the progress made since the last sectoral meeting held under the Enhanced Permanent Dialogue, it is added in the statement.
