Serbia's progress in European integration commended

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that participants of the conference on the Western Balkans, held in Vienna, welcomed today the great solidarity of the Western Balkans on the catastrophic floods that recently hit the region and expressed their willingness to further support and cooperate in eliminating the consequences of flooding.

The statement said that the participants of the conference also strongly supported the continuation of the EU enlargement of the Western Balkans.
EU Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Fule and ministers of foreign affairs of Greece, Italy and Austria pointed out that the EU negotiations with Serbia are priority and expressed readiness for closely cooperate in the implementation of the necessary reforms.
The progress made by Serbia in European integration has especially been commended.
The goal is to open additional negotiation chapters this year.
Dacic thanked everyone who assisted in saving lives and eliminating the consequences of floods.

Dacic said that the most important strategic foreign policy priorities include Serbian membership in the EU, the strengthening of regional cooperation and continued dialogue with Pristina, the statement added.
