At a press conference, Kostunica said that cooperation with The Hague refers to generals Nebojsa Pavkovic and Sreten Lukic, but refused to speak in advance of upcoming events.
Rehn stressed that additional steps towards full cooperation with the tribunal in The Hague guarantee a positive feasibility study and green light by EU ministers and leaders for the initiation of stabilisation and association agreement talks with Serbia-Montenegro.
The EU enlargement commissioner especially pointed out that Serbia has made considerable progress in the meantime, adding that moves leading to full cooperation with The Hague are still to come.
Kostunica and Rehn discussed the progress in Serbian public administration reform, an important segment in Serbia-Montenegro’s EU accession strategy.
The two officials also discussed the situation in Kosovo-Metohija and the functioning of the state union.
Kostunica will also meet with EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana tonight.
