Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Mrkic met today with Head of the Delegation of the EU to Serbia Michael Davenport to discuss Serbia's European integration, the activities undertaken in the negotiation process, as well as issues of regional cooperation.
Mrkic informed Davenport that he will participate in a meeting of foreign ministers of the EU member states with the candidate countries, to be held on 5 April in Athens.
He recalled that he will attend the conference at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece Evangelos Venizelos, in his capacity as EU’s chairperson, and High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton.
Davenport conveyed the message of Ashton, who wants to visit Serbia after the formation of the new Serbian government, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
