Brazilian police arrest one of most sought-after criminals from Serbia

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that the Brazilian police have arrested Serbian citizen Goran Nesic who was convicted in Serbia to eight years in prison for drug trafficking.

Dacic said in a statement to the press after opening border crossing for local cross-border traffic Goles-Golema Crcorija in Bosilegrad that Nesic was hiding in different countries with false identities.
The Brazilian police arrested 17 members of an organised criminal group that traded in drugs, and the identities have been confirmed of the arrested Alen Memovic, Aleksandar Sekulic and Milan Karanovic, for whom arrest warrants were issued for drug trafficking, the Minister added.
He voiced hope that the Serbian police will soon get the full list of all those arrested in this operation and the latest information from the Brazilian police.
The Minister added that this arrest is the result of cooperation of the police units of the two countries.
