Goal of Interior Ministry to improve financial, social status of police officers

Deputy Serbian Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic and police union representatives attended today the marking of the International Day of May Day at the police training centre at Makis.

Dacic pointed out that the goal of the Interior Ministry is to improve financial and social status of police officers.
He said that in the past three years great progress has been made in that respect and recalled that for the first time in the history of the Serbian police a special collective agreement was signed for police officers.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said that member of the Turkish Hezbollah Aidan Tamaki, who was arrested at the border crossing Horgos, will be extradited to Turkey if we receive such request.
Dacic said that Tamaki is currently in the asylum for aliens of the Border Police, and recalled that Interpol Ankara yesterday afternoon confirmed that Tamaki is a member of the Turkish Hezbollah terrorist organisation.
