Arrest of members of Turkish Hezbollah confirm high reputation of Serbian police

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic said today that Interpol Ankara confirmed that one of the arrested persons who attempted to illegally cross the border at the Horgos border crossing, Aidan Tamak, is member of the Turkish Hezbollah terrorist organisation.

Dacic told Radio Television Vojvodina that Tamak is sentenced to life imprisonment in Turkey for a number of terrorist acts.
He said that the morning's action shows the good references and the high respect of the Serbian police.
The Serbian border police with the assistance of customs officers found two people in a truck allegedly carrying soap to Germany this morning.
The Deputy Prime Minister also said both persons have been transported to Padinska Skela, in the asylum for aliens, and that upon completion of the forensic investigation the so-called judicial extradition proceedings will start.
